Job Title: Real Estate Investment Associate

Location: Atlanta, GA

Company & Position Overview: The Investment Associate will support the real estate investment team for a sector-diverse nationwide portfolio, as well as regularly supporting the evaluation of new investment opportunities. The Associate will participate in all Acquisition and portfolio management activities as an integral part of a close-knit group of investment professionals, playing a key role in financial modeling, analysis and industry research, and assist senior professionals in driving operational strategies and investment performance.

The Real Estate Investment Associate will be responsible for:

• Financial and Argus software modeling, analysis, and valuation.
• Market and industry research.
• Prepare presentation materials and investment reports for internal and external use.
• Review and analyze budgets and financials, as well as key lease, financing and other contracts.
• Assist the acquisitions team on new acquisitions.
• Assist in managing more operationally intensive assets.
• Directly interact with operating partners, capital partners, lenders and various other service providers and consultants.

The Real Estate Investment Associate should have the following qualifications:

• BA/BS degree with strong undergraduate academic performance (degree in finance, economics, real estate, or related discipline preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year experience, preferably in investment banking, private equity, consulting, real estate, corporate finance or similar analytical role.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.); proficiency in Argus is a plus.
• Analysis and research experience, with demonstrated experience in financial modeling strongly preferred.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Energetic self-starter with experience working effectively as part of a small team and independently.
• Candidate will have a significant desire to learn and grow within the real estate and investment management industry.
