We are currently working with a recognized real estate and hospitality firm with a solid presence in luxury brand hotels. Our client has a presence in landmark locations around Mexico and the Caribbean. They are currently looking for a Finance Manager who will oversee the financial operations and asset performance of the company's hotel portfolio. The role involves conducting in-depth analyses of the different properties, preparing executive-level reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The position is based in Mexico City, México. What the job involves
- Analyze financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics to evaluate portfolio performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance using key hospitality metrics, including ADR, RevPAR, and Occupancy
- Analyze market penetration and competitive benchmarking metrics, including RGI, MPI, ARI, and year-over-year performance
- Review and assess revenue management performance, including Total Revenue, Rooms Revenue, Banquet and Events Revenue, SPOR, Pace, and Crossover analysis
- Monitor budget performance, analyze budget variances, and oversee cost control initiatives to improve profitability
- Oversee the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial information across the hotel portfolio
- Partner with hotel operators to ensure alignment with financial objectives, business plans, and contractual obligations
- Monitor market trends and industry developments that may impact on the performance and value of hotel assets
- Review findings from internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of issues and compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
- Collaborate with senior leadership to present financial performance results, strategic insights, and actionable recommendations
- Coordinate with hotel operators, internal and external auditors, legal advisors, and consultants to enhance financial performance and operational efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Solid experience in finance, accounting, and operations within the hospitality sector, preferably in all-inclusive properties
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, commercial relations or related field
- Skilled negotiator and proven team player
- Analytical, organized, technical and detail oriented
- Proficiency in English
