Description
Position OverviewOur client is seeking a Loan Closer & Servicer to manage the closing and ongoing administration of commercial real estate loans originated through life companies, agencies, banks, and private credit relationships. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and confident managing communication between lenders, borrowers, counsel, and internal team members to ensure a seamless closing and servicing experience. This role blends transactional execution with portfolio management, offering an opportunity to work closely with the firm's principals and lending partners in a growing entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Loan Closing
* Support origination and underwriting teams throughout the underwriting, marketing and lender term sheet review and selection process
* Coordinate the full closing process for commercial and multifamily loans from term sheet through funding, maintaining company pipeline database
* Review and track closing checklists, third-party reports, title/insurance, and legal documentation.
* Communicate proactively with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and lenders to resolve conditions and ensure timely closings.
* Prepare closing invoices, wire instructions, and internal funding memos.
* Maintain accurate loan files and ensure all client information, loan due diligence and executed documents are properly recorded and archived.
Loan Servicing
* Manage post-closing loan administration, including servicing onboarding, statement origination, borrower communication, payment processing, escrow management, and loan documentation.
* Monitor insurance renewals, property tax payments, and financial reporting compliance.
* Track and process reserve requests, partial releases, and modifications in coordination with lenders and asset managers.
* Maintain portfolio reporting and assist with performance tracking for investors and internal review.
* Provide responsive and professional borrower service throughout the life of each loan.
Operational Support
* Assist in building and refining closing and servicing procedures as the company scales.
* Support compliance, audit, and data integrity functions within the servicing platform.
* Collaborate with underwriting, accounting, and asset management to ensure smooth workflow and reporting consistency.
* Serve as main point of contact with future lender servicing clients
* Occasional travel to loan closing and servicing conferences to better align company's objectives with the changing technological and regulatory landscape.
Qualifications
* 1+ year of experience in commercial real estate loan closing, servicing, or banking operations preferred.
* Familiarity with life company, agency, bridge, and private credit loan documentation.
* Strong attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, and document management systems.
